Clauser and Anton Zeilinger on Tuesday for work that has \u201claid the foundation for a new era of quantum technology,\u201d the Nobel Committee for Physics said.<\/p>\n<p>The scientists have each conducted \u201cgroundbreaking experiments using entangled quantum states, where two particles behave like a single unit even when they are separated,\u201d the committee said in a briefing.
