They have demonstrated an artificial intelligence system that can learn the rules and patterns of <a href=\"https:\/\/techxplore.com\/tags\/human+languages\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">human languages<\/a> on its own.<\/p>\n<p>When given words and examples of how those words change to express different grammatical functions (like tense, case, or gender) in one <a href=\"https:\/\/techxplore.com\/tags\/language\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">language<\/a>, this <a href=\"https:\/\/techxplore.com\/tags\/machine-learning+model\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">machine-learning model<\/a> comes up with rules that explain why the forms of those words change.
