It was the first time the process had been successfully completed, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/world-first-mouse-embryo-grown-without-womb-sperm-egg-study-2022-8\">Insider\u2019s Marianne Guenot<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The replica embryos could not develop into fully-formed mice and were therefore not \u201creal,\u201d Jacob Hanna, who led the experiment, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/science\/2022\/aug\/03\/scientists-create-worlds-first-synthetic-embryos\">told the Guardian<\/a>.
