For most people, especially those whose cancer is caught early, the treatment is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.net\/cancer-types\/head-and-neck-cancer\/types-treatment\" target=\"_blank\">fairly minimal surgery<\/a>, sometimes using lasers, or radiation therapy.<\/p>\n<p>For some, though, more aggressive action is needed, and part of the lower jaw must be removed.
