People aren\u2019t going to stop buying stuff, so how can we plan for a future where there\u2019s more stuff being moved <i>and<\/i> our streets aren\u2019t overwhelmingly clogged with semis and delivery vans (and the polluting emissions that come with them)?<\/p>\n<p>A Swiss company has an idea\u2014one that\u2019s pretty original, a bit wacky, and maybe excessive. Or maybe it\u2019s brilliant; you be the judge.<\/p>\n<p>Underground cargo is the concept. It\u2019s also, as it were, the name: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cst.ch\/en\/\">Cargo Sous Terrain<\/a>. In a network of subterranean tunnels, large pods ferry pallets of goods between various hubs.
