This may be why some researchers are shifting their focus slightly, investigating whether treating the systems affected by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencealert.com\/alzheimer-s-disease\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Alzheimer's\">Alzheimer\u2019s<\/a> (as opposed to the causes) may better help them find a treatment.<\/p>\n<p>This is exactly what researchers of a new study have shown \u2013 finding that drugs normally <a href=\"https:\/\/jnnp.bmj.com\/content\/early\/2022\/05\/31\/jnnp-2022-329136\">used to treat ADHD<\/a> may actually show promise in managing symptoms of Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers conducted a systematic review which looked at how noradrenergic drugs (commonly used for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencealert.com\/what-is-adhd\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"ADHD\">ADHD<\/a>) work for managing Alzheimer\u2019s disease symptoms.
