Prof. David Schuster\u2019s lab works on <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/quantum+bits\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">quantum bits <\/a>\u2014the quantum equivalent of a computer bit\u2014which tap the strange properties of particles at the atomic and sub-atomic level to do things that are otherwise impossible.
