During today\u2019s press call \u2014 which mostly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2015\/3\/19\/8257743\/tesla-model-s-range-anxiety-software-update\">focused on curing range anxiety<\/a> \u2014 CEO Elon Musk revealed that Tesla will ship a software update \u201cin about three months\u201d that will turn on auto-steering, or \u201cautopilot\u201d as Musk often refers to it. \u201cWe can basically go between San Francisco and Seattle without the driver doing anything,\u201d Musk said of the autonomous system that Tesla has developed. For now, you\u2019ll only be able to engage auto-steering on highways.
