While movies like <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2015\/03\/16\/swipe-right-on-ava\/\">Ex Machina<\/a> and Her stoke the fears and desires of our imaginations, new innovations in robotics and artificial intelligence are bringing our visions of tomorrow closer to today.<\/p>\n<p>You can now take a ride in a <a href=\"http:\/\/qz.com\/354434\/google-could-start-shuttling-people-around-in-its-self-driving-cars-this-year\/\" target=\"_blank\">Google autonomous car<\/a>, order dinner from a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/2014\/08\/meet-the-company-designing-robot-bellhops-for-hotels\/\" target=\"_blank\">robot butler<\/a> at a hotel in Cupertino, and buy a personal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dji.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">quadcopter drone<\/a> for under a thousand bucks.
