The prices have fallen dramatically from \u20ac95 to \u20ac62 per ton. This is especially good for countries like Poland, which are forced to pay a premium for energy derived from \u201cdirty\u201d sources like coal. The fall in the price of this \u201ctax\u201d is expected to make the cost of energy especially more bearable for many of Europe\u2019s poorer nations.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO of Poland\u2019s Development Fund, Pawe\u0142 Borys, also commented on the issue on Twitter. \u201cIt is significant how CO2 prices have collapsed, falling by 30 percent since they peaked in February.
