It was designed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heatherwick.com\/\">Heatherwick<\/a> for developer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tiananchina.com\/en\/projects_developments.php?pid=14\">Tian An<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The first phase of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.1000trees.com.cn\/\">1,000 Trees<\/a> opened with a lighting ceremony on 22 December in Shanghai\u2019s Putuo district after eight years of development.
