Disney wants to enhance the virtual dimension of its theme parks with its Virtual World Simulator, new technology for which it was granted a <a href=\"https:\/\/patft.uspto.gov\/netacgi\/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.htm&r=1&f=G&l=50&d=PTXT&p=1&S1=%22virtual+world+simulator%22&OS=%22virtual+world+simulator%22\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">patent<\/a> in the U.S. on December 28.<\/p>\n<p>The system could be used as follows: a user enters a venue or ride in which images are projected onto flat and curved surfaces, creating an immersive virtual environment. The user\u2019s movements are tracked and the projections change accordingly, maintaining the sense of a complex, coherent world.
