That makes them tricky to detect, even though they\u2019re very common \u2013 in fact, there are billions of neutrinos streaming through your body right now. Because of this, they\u2019re often described as ghost particles.<\/p>\n<p>Neutrinos are produced in <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/newatlas.com\/physics\/borexino-cno-neutrino-detected-sun\/\" data-cms-ai=\"0\">stars<\/a>, supernovae, <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/newatlas.com\/physics\/high-energy-neutrinos-quasars\/\" data-cms-ai=\"0\">quasars<\/a>. radioactive decay and from cosmic rays interacting with atoms in the Earth\u2019s atmosphere.
