Filed in May 2,019 the U.S. Patent Office granted the application, giving Tesla an exclusive right for the invention.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla has played around with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/teslas-patented-magnetic-wipers-demonstrated-in-concept-video\/\">several ideas for windshield wipers<\/a> in the past. In fact, in February, the company had a patent approved for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-roadster-wiper-patent-approved\/\">new wiper design for the Roadster<\/a>, which would utilize an electromagnetic linear actuator to rid the windshield of moisture.
