During the project, they discovered a new natural antibody <a href=\"https:\/\/newscenter.lbl.gov\/2021\/08\/16\/inescapable-covid19-antibody\/\">\u201cthat has remarkable breadth and efficacy<\/a>,\u201d according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/newscenter.lbl.gov\/2021\/08\/16\/inescapable-covid19-antibody\/\">Berkeley Lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The scientists reportedly discovered a new antibody, called S309, which \u201cneutralizes all known SARS-CoV-2 strains \u2014 including newly emerged mutants that can now \u2018escape\u2019 from previous antibody therapies \u2014 as well as the closely related original SARS-CoV virus,\u201d according to a press release from the <a href=\"https:\/\/newscenter.lbl.gov\/2021\/08\/16\/inescapable-covid19-antibody\/\">Berkeley Lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A team of researchers may have found an antibody that can neutralize all known novel coronavirus strains, including the developing variants.
