Teslas with Autopilot engaged have crashed into police cars and emergency vehicles parked on the side of the road and the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration (NHTSA) understandably wants to know what\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n<p>On top of this, a pair of US Senators are <a href=\"https:\/\/carbuzz.com\/news\/tesla-faces-new-scrutiny-from-us-lawmakers\" target=\"_self\">demanding another investigation<\/a> over the Autopilot name itself, claiming it\u2019s misleading. Bear in mind Autopilot is rated at only Level 2 whereas Level 5 autonomy requires zero human input. Far too many Tesla owners <a href=\"https:\/\/carbuzz.com\/news\/watch-autopilot-save-drunk-tesla-driver-who-passed-out\" target=\"_self\">don\u2019t seem to understand that<\/a>, hence the Senators\u2019 concerns.
