The most recent of these <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blog.google\/products\/assistant\/more-information-about-our-processes-safeguard-speech-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">reports<\/a><\/strong> points out that <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.securitynewspaper.com\/2021\/06\/04\/massive-campaign-of-malicious-ads-affects-millions-of-google-users\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Assistant<\/a><\/strong> technology can listen to users\u2019 conversations even without being invoked.<\/p>\n<p>The company had already admitted that it records some of the users\u2019 conversations, though its reports claimed this was impossible if the user didn\u2019t say <strong>\u201cOK Google\u201d<\/strong> aloud. However, this new report ensures that it is not necessary for the user to activate the assistant with the renowned voice command.<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong>Android Authority<\/strong> researchers, a Google representative admitted that its virtual assistant records audio even when this tool is not used, even recognizing that employees have access to this information. However, Google clarified that this has not been done inadvertently, ensuring that its staff is not listening to users\u2019 conversations.
