It is a new class of artifacts: a living and programmable organism,\u201d says <b>Joshua Bongard<\/b>, an expert in computer science and robotics at the University of Vermont (UVM) and one of the leaders of the find.<\/p>\n<p>As the scientist explains, <b>these living bots do not look like traditional robots<\/b> : they do not have shiny gears or robotic arms. Rather, they look more like a <b>tiny blob of pink meat in motion<\/b>, a biological machine that re<i>search<\/i>ers say can accomplish things traditional robots cannot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Xenobot\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b><i>Xenobots<\/i><\/b><\/a> are synthetic organisms designed automatically by a supercomputer to perform a specific task, using a process of trial and error (an <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Algoritmo_evolutivo#:~:text=Los%20algoritmos%20evolutivos%20son%20m%C3%A9todos, postulados%20de%20la%20evoluci%C3%B3n%20biol%C3%B3gica.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">evolutionary algorithm<\/a>), and are built by a combination of different biological tissues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cThese are novel living machines.
