The trick is to make the needles small. Really small. So small they don\u2019t interact with the nerve endings that signal pain.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chbe.gatech.edu\/people\/mark-r-prausnitz\">Mark Prausnitz<\/a> is director of the Center for Drug Design, Development and Delivery at Georgia Tech. He works on something called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/globalhealth\/immunization\/stories\/microneedle-patch.htm\">microneedle patches<\/a> to deliver vaccines.
