Is that drought about to end?<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>June 7 will be a big day in the life of Jeff Borghoff \u2014 not to mention the more than 6 million other Americans living with Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n<p>On that date, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is expected to announce whether it will give its blessing to the first new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biospace.com\/article\/biogen-s-alzheimer-s-drug-is-in-the-home-stretch-but-can-it-win-approval-\/\" target=\"_blank\">drug for the treatment of Alzheimer\u2019s<\/a> since 2003.<\/p>\n<p>Borghoff fervently hopes the answer is yes.
