The acquisition will add TruStar\u2019s cloud-native, <a href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2020\/11\/18\/what-enterprise-cisos-need-to-know-about-ai-and-cybersecurity\/\">cyber intelligence-sharing<\/a> capabilities and automated processes to Splunk\u2019s growing cybersecurity portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTruStar will help us get even better at predictive threat assessments by strengthening our threat intelligence framework. This acquisition will allow customers to autonomously and seamlessly enrich their (security operation center) workflows with threat intelligence data feeds from heterogeneous sources,\u201d Splunk president and CEO Doug Merritt told VentureBeat in an exclusive interview.<\/p>\n<p>The pending deal is in line with Splunk\u2019s philosophy that \u201csecurity is a data problem,\u201d he said. The announcement marks a return to M&amp;A activity for Splunk and the massive $1.05 billion <a href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2019\/08\/21\/splunk-acquires-signalfx-for-1-05-billion\/\">deal for SignalFX<\/a> in 2019.
