And it\u2019s dirt cheap\u2014less than $1 a dose, researchers say.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/vaccine\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">vaccine<\/a> targets a part of the COVID virus\u2019 spike protein that appears to be highly resistant to mutation and is common across nearly all coronaviruses, said senior researcher Dr. Steven Zeichner.
