The now-retired Harvard professor claimed in an <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalpost.com\/news\/canada\/heroes-of-the-pandemic-meet-the-canadian-hockey-dad-behind-covid-19-vaccine-developer-moderna\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interview<\/a> with the <em>National Post <\/em>that he found a way to \u201creprogram\u201d the molecules that carry the genetic instructions for cell development in the human body, not to mention all biological lifeforms.<\/p>\n<p>These molecules are called \u2018messenger ribonucleic acid\u2019 or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.genome.gov\/genetics-glossary\/messenger-rna\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mRNA<\/a> and the newfound ability to rewrite those instructions to produce any kind of cell within a biological organism has radically changed the course of Western medicine and science, even if no one has really noticed yet.
