Sometimes they\u2019re equipped with <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/newatlas.com\/gold-nanospheres-search-out-and-cook-cancer-cells-11125\/11125\/\">peptides that hunt down cancer<\/a>, while others sneak in <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/newatlas.com\/cancer-nanoparticles-ride-white-blood-cells\/49537\/\">attached to white blood cells<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For this new study, researchers instead found a way to grow the gold directly inside the cancer cells.
