Literally.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s called the \u201cF-X\u201d concept (not to be confused with the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/VFAX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VFAX\/VFX\/FX concepts<\/a> of the 1960s and \u201970s) and it\u2019s intended to enter service in 2030.<\/p>\n<p>The fighter is supposed to focus on energy efficiency, which the Air Force believes could allow for new weapons and capabilities, <a href=\"http:\/\/the-diplomat.com\/flashpoints-blog\/2011\/08\/08\/us-mulls-fighter-jet-future\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>The Diplomat <\/em>reports<\/a>.
