In fact, gravity is the last of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fundamental_interaction\">four fundamental forces<\/a> that humans haven\u2019t figured out how to produce and control. But now Andr\u00e9 F\u00fczfa, a mathematician at the University of Namur in Belgium, has <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.aps.org\/prd\/abstract\/10.1103\/PhysRevD.93.024014\">published a paper<\/a> proposing a device that could do just that \u2014 albeit in tiny doses. And it wouldn\u2019t require any new technology.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s be clear, we\u2019re talking about incredibly small gravitational fields here, not the type of \u2018artificial gravity\u2019 that\u2019s used throughout science fiction to keep characters on shows like <em>Star Trek<\/em> and <em>Battlestar Galactica<\/em> walking, not floating, around spacecraft.
