The pay reductions are expected to be in place until the end of the second quarter.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2020\/03\/19\/tesla-temporarily-suspending-production-at-bay-area-factory-amid-coronavirus-outbreak.html\">Health orders<\/a>, implemented to curb the spread of COVID-19, forced Elon Musk\u2019s electric car company to wind down production at its main vehicle assembly plant in Fremont, California.<\/p>\n<p>The new pay cuts follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2020\/04\/02\/tesla-tsla-1q-2020-production-and-delivery-numbers.html\">Tesla\u2019s first-quarter vehicle production and deliveries report<\/a>, which pleased investors \u2014 the company said it delivered approximately 88,400 vehicles and produced 103,000 in Q1.
