That something is \u2014 big surprise \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/carbuzz.com\/news\/evs-will-be-cadillac-s-last-chance-to-succeed\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">electrification<\/a>. At the moment, GM\u2019s luxury brand does not sell an EV and its only hybrid model, the <a href=\"https:\/\/carbuzz.com\/cars\/cadillac\/ct6-plug-in\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Cadillac CT6 Hybrid<\/a>, is about to be discontinued. Eventually, the just-revealed <a href=\"https:\/\/carbuzz.com\/cars\/cadillac\/escalade\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">2021 Cadillac Escalade<\/a> will likely offer a plug-in hybrid variant and, perhaps, an all-electric one as well. Thing is, Cadillac can\u2019t wait that long for an Escalade EV, but it turns out an alternative is coming very soon.<\/p>\n<p>GM President Mark Reuss announced last week at the automaker\u2019s Capital Markets Day presentation the brand\u2019s first-ever EV will debut this April. And yes, it will be a crossover, a fact that was announced a year ago at the Detroit Auto Show.
