Fasting \u201cswitches on\u201d a process in the body in which two particular proteins, TET3 and HNF4\u03b1 increase in the <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/liver\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">liver<\/a>, driving up production of blood glucose.
