By uniting efforts, the IBI can help shape the future of <a href=\"https:\/\/singularityhub.com\/tag\/neuroscience\/\">neuroscience<\/a> research at a global scale\u2014for promoting brain and mental health, for stimulating international collaboration, for ethical neuroscience practices, and for crafting future generations of scientists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt takes a world to understand the brain,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalbraininitiative.org\/\">said<\/a> Caroline Montojo of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kavlifoundation.org\/\">the Kavli Foundation<\/a>, which offered support to the project. \u201cWhen we have the best brains and the best minds working together, sharing information and research that could benefit us all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The initiative, at the time of writing, includes Japan\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/brainminds.jp\/\">Brain\/Minds<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brainalliance.org.au\/\">Australian Brain Alliance<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humanbrainproject.eu\/en\/\">EU\u2019s Human Brain Project (HBP)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/canadianbrain.ca\/\">Canadian Brain Research Strategy<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.braininitiative.org\/\">US\u2019<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.braininitiative.org\/\"> BRAIN Initiative<\/a> (BRAINI), the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kbri.re.kr\/new\/pages_eng\/sub\/page.html?mc=3186\">Korea Brain Initiative<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/d41586-018-04122-3\">China Brain Project<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rather than each country formulating their own brain projects independently, the project argues, it\u2019s high time for the world to come together and share their findings, resources, and expertise across borders.
