I have watched this gentleman with his friend ride around China on their motorcycles. They are leaving China. It has become more difficult for them there. I am reminded of the phrase “War Clouds”. Propaganda from Chinese Communists towards the people of the US has been continuous. Americans loved the Chinese people after Pearl S. Buck’s book and tried to protect them from the Japanese who killed them any way they could including poison gas. The Japanese even wanted US oil from FDR so they could continue killing the Chinese. Traditions of graft, corruption in China were distasteful to generals given power in China. It was disastrous when the CIA or OSS of that day lobbied to give money and weapons to the Communists. Mao was not as smart as he thought he was so then there was another Communist dictatorship famine or two as under Stalin in the USSR. If you need more recommendation for democracy and free speech than the general absence of great death from famine, starvation, there is something wrong with your goals. The end result of GOP oligarchy for the US and our world will be the final destruction of our planets food chain. Of Economic factors the adoption of Modern Monetary Theory for funding all that must be done to save human civilization from the collapse of our food chain is absolutely necessary.
