I’ve done a bit myself in developing a knowledge-generation game: https://askmatt.solutions/

However, there is a problem of recursion. You must be sure that the game is designed correctly. Then, you are back to the same concerns as before “Do I understand the situation well enough to generate effective foresight?”

You may find it interesting that we are increasingly able to evaluate the usefulness of our knowledge. A recent example here focused on the problem of poverty — showing that even with interdisciplinary input and collaboration across the political spectrum, we simply do not have the knowledge to effectively address poverty: https://www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/K-03&#45…/full/html

The same may be said of all other complex problems we face in the world — including the future of humanity. However, now that we have a way to measure the usefulness of knowledge, we have the opportunity to accelerate the development of that knowledge — with attendant benefits for humanity.

Thanks,

Steve
