It’s sad too. The stigma of unemployment makes these types of studies so important to publicize — because it’s a catch — 22. Nobody wants to talk about this type of information who’s not lost in all and at rock bottom and in a raving state of despair. So it’s up to rational people to help them.

A live ticker would be great. Live numbers. Simple numbers. U-3, U-6 seem so suspect. With that birth death model revising. Hedonics is what it’s called I believe. The manipulation of statistics. Where’s the technological abundance? It’s all so political and cruel.

A person rendered redundant understands the economic challenge he is up against, helplessly worries about it, becomes inactive at the same time, and the sum of it all cannot be good on the mind, body and spirit. Just as really good leaders start to decline in health and mind upon retirement in many cases perhaps?

Also, notice how when many of us were at university, we seemed to be stuck in terms of physical growth and ageing as if we’re going to be young forever, because it is like a hyperactive stage of our lives? Just a thought, perhaps for further exploration.
