You bring up some important ideas to consider. It is important that people have the freedom of choice regarding these technologies. There will always be a significant number of people who choose not to embrace the potential of the Singularity, or to support transhumanist goals. I value and support that diversity. It’s also important for individuals to realize the personal ethical and moral questions that are raised by avoiding death. When the time comes, people should thoughtfully consider the ramifications of their choices before choosing.
