Into the Cloud Update
In the March 2014 edition of Lifeboat News we talked about our new cloud
setup which had 75 times as much bandwidth as our old dedicated server
At the suggestion of our Chris Haley (and with his help), we have now taken advantage of advancements in technology and have “downgraded” our Linode plan to a new plan that costs half as much as our old Linode plan but has twice the bandwidth of that plan. So we now have 150 times as much bandwidth as our old dedicated server setup! (We are also now based on SSDs instead of hard drives.)
By the way, if you happen to be a customer of Linode note that their estimated times to change your setup to a new plan are wildly off. For example, we were quoted 18 minutes on moving our setup to a new location and it actually took only 3 minutes.
